"I don't know," he said looking intrigued.
"I'm thinking Double Wide Grill up in Cranberry and maybe a park if we have time?"
"Yes," was his simple response.
Going out to eat on a weeknight is an extremely rare occasion for us. It was fun to throw caution to the wind (who needs to practice piano?) and not worry that it was a school night. So we told the kids to grab tennis shoes and go potty.
"Why?" Natalie said as if she were in trouble.
"We're going out to eat!" I said enthusiastically.
"To a restaurant?" Ryan asked.
"Yep, to a restaurant." I said.
"I wuv restaurants," he said. (he wuvs everything right now)
So we loaded up the wagon and we
Ryan is now in the stage where he wants to do everything himself.
This one brought a book with her and read it much of the time (in the first pic she's at the bottom walking and reading at the same time). Lucky for us she put it down at the table.
She slept in the car on the way so was ready to par-tay!
6:00 is still early for him to be home... checking emails and had to take one call.
But I still know how to get his attention.
Whoops! Not to be outdone... "Mommy, mommy, kiss!"
Henry sniffed Ainsley's fries and ketchup instead of eating those nasty carbs. She thought it was hilarious so made him pose for this picture.
After his meal Ryan dug through my purse so he could watch Mickey Mouse on my phone.
Natalie took up residence at the lounge area next to our table.
Ainsley got encouragement from daddy to finish her chicken.
Out front waiting for daddy....
A rather handy circumstance.... DQ right across the parking lot. Um, yes please.
What unexpected thing have you done recently?
p.s. We didn't make it to a park. Dessert took too long. And it took an hour to get the girls settled when we got home they were so hyper from their ice cream.
p.s.s. The food was awesome. The menu has so many good things on it, we'll have to go back to try more.
we'll meet you there some day! :) i watched ti being built last year and wanted to try it - vegan sounds delicious! ~liz
