We spent the weekend having fun as a family (and throwing in a few chores here and there). Saturday afternoon we met up with another family and did some bowling. We've never taken the kids so they were still trying to figure it out. Natalie did okay throwing the ball like a big girl (the bumpers helped).

Ryan, however, tried to kick it on his first turn. Natalie was trying to get him to roll the ball and he lined up and kicked it. Silly boy!

Ainsley decided she likes the metal ramp method.

Not sure if you can see that Ryan's "bangs" are standing up in this picture. He liked standing over the hand-fan at the ball rack.

And of course we couldn't leave without playing a few arcade games. Natalie helped Ryan with his race car since he can't reach the gas pedal.

Since having two kids I've done my grocery shopping solo as much as possible, typically on Saturday or Sunday. The last few weeks we've made it a family affair. I typically shop at Aldi and Giant Eagle (which has a play place for the kids). We'll all go through Aldi. At Giant, we put the kids in the play place, then walk around like we're on a date. It's kindof fun. Sometimes we'll get a coffee or tea from the cafe and really make it special.  This week we only needed a few things from Giant so we had the kids go around with us. We were quite a sight driving through the store!  Even with all the extra chaos, the extra time it takes to have everyone along, and the extra snacks that sneak into the cart, I actually really like it.

On a sad note, Henry's grandmother passed away on Saturday night. I may not be posting as much this week due to the logistics of getting to, and going to, the funeral. Please keep Henry's family in your prayers. Grandma Stamper is survived by all 8 of her children and their spouses, her 30 grandchildren and their spouses, and 32 great-grandchildren. She was a mighty prayer warrior. I have a feeling she's sitting at Jesus feet right now saying, "Praise the Lord!"
