Today is the last day of Natalie and Ainsley's summer vacation. We took the chance to head downtown and have lunch with daddy. Sometimes the girls go with Henry if he has to run to the office on the weekend (which is rare in our new hometown) but I've never been there. It was neat being able to visualize where he is every day.
The lighting is terrible in this hallway - - this is what the kids did when Henry opened the door for them. They do it every night when he comes home too. "DAD!"
Walking to his office.
Finance employees in the making.
We walked a few blocks to Market Square... the weather was incredible. We all ate while listening to a live band. I could've sat there all day.
We then walked another block to the PPG building. They have a solarium that's open to the public. Henry told me when he's stressed out he likes to steal a few minutes at lunch time to sit in the quiet and check email on his phone. The kids ran around playing while he and I chatted.
Henry had to run back to a meeting but had one more surprise for the kids. PPG has a fountain in its courtyard. Guess where we spent the next 1/2 hour?
Ryan ventured only this far. Most the time he sat next to me drinking the rest of my water. And now we are ready for school to start tomorrow.
That's great to get to have lunch with daddy! Yay! And it was good for mommy too!
ReplyDeleteI am glad the kids got to play in the water fountains that shoot up like that...it looks like fun! Even though Ryan wasn't quite sure about it! Ha!
I hope starting school tomorrow will be an exciting day!
Love you!

ReplyDeleteAgree on the awesome Mom quote! Summer flew by. The weather is amazing here, too! Hope you can rest a little for a few days.
