The day she turned 6

Dear Ainsley,

Six years ago you were suctioned from my body because you were stuck on my pelvic bone. I bruised my tailbone while trying to push you out. I couldn't get up from or down into the sitting position without crying for two weeks.  You were worth it.

I'd do it all again tomorrow... well maybe I'd do things a little differently, hindsight is 20/20 afterall, but I certainly don't regret bringing you into our family.

God blessed you with a sunny disposition; a fiery, go-get-'em attitude; and a fierce loyalty that make you a special little girl. One that is growing into a lady. As you head into your sixth year, you know how to read, you're working on addition, and you like playing the piano (practicing is another story). You love that your brother is old enough to play with you now. Your favorite thing to do with him is jump on the bed.

You are totally into fashion and puppies. You ask for a new purse or shoes almost every time we go to the store, even if it's the grocery store. You change your clothes several times a day. You like to spend money.

I asked you a few questions the other day and here's what you said:

What's your favorite color? blue
What's your favorite food? Nutella
Who's your best friend? God  (I'd add Jeff, the neighbor, and Natalie to this list)
What's your favorite game? Baby Monkeys
What's your favorite movie? H2O: Just add water

We love you and can't wait to see what this year holds for you.

Love, Mommy and Daddy
