Thank you, everyone, for lamenting with me over the laundry room dilemma. There is always a way to move lines... so true. For us that would mean tearing out the coat closet and moving the major drain stack coming down from the master bathroom. I was looking for something a little less costly. We thought through moving the stackable units to the closer wall, but that requires moving the gas line and dryer vent.
Today is busy... physical therapy, a follow-up echo, and cardiology appointment for Ryan; Daisies for Ainsley, a play date for Natalie. I think I just decided I won't make focaccia for lunch. Salad will do.
The kids just ate eggs and cake for breakfast. Don't tell anyone. They'll take away my nutrition-nazi status.
Have a great Monday!
Having zero idea of your home layout, I'm still going to wing an idea.
ReplyDeleteWhat about using some space upstairs? A closet, or nook that could be converted into space for the stackable W&D? Then you could convert the entire current laundry room into your mudroom. I know somebody who took space from their MB but cut the opening from the upstairs hall, it just worked out for them and maybe it is a possibility for you.
I have walked the home reno journey. The only thing I learned is that it is never simple...but often there is a way that isn't the most complicated or expensive option.
Nothing wrong with dessert with breakfast!
