Homemade Cranberry Sauce

Cranberry Sauce is one of those things you either love or hate. I happen to love it. A few years ago I found out how incredibly easy it is to make so today I'm going to share it with you. It's as easy as making a peanut and butter sandwich. Seriously.
First you gather all your ingredients. All three of them: One bag cranberries, one cup water, one cup sugar.

Combine them in a saucepan. Give them a stir if it makes you feel better.

Turn on the flame. Have your assistant watch over it to keep her busy.

Bring the mixture to a boil and boil for five minutes or until berries pop.

Turn off the stove and let it cool. This is what it will look like.

Put it in the fridge for up to three days (go make it now and stick it in the fridge. For Realz. It's better if you let it sit) then serve in a pretty bowl.

Um. That's it. Think you can handle it?

  1. Hey, I am not a fan of cranberry sauce, but love this fresh cranberry salad...give it a try!

    1 bag fresh cranberries, washed
1 good sized orange, peeled, seeded and skin removed
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 small can crushed pineapple
    crushed pecans to taste

    in food processor:
Pulse cranberries to chop fine, pour in bowl
Pulse orange to fine chop, pour in bowl
Add Pinapple and juice, sugar and pecans
Stir well, cover and place in fridge overnight if possible

    Enjoy!

  3. Hey there! This was my first year making homemade cranberry sauce, and I made it jsut as you did. But after it cooked I threw it in the blender, because my kids like smoother textures. It was so yummy
